Events

Please go to our event calendar and follow the register buttons of the events that interest you.

Yes, most GABA events are also available to non-members for a (higher) fee. You will find this information on the description of the event. We encourage you to become a GABA member – aside from free or reduced fee events, there are many more benefits to gain, and you will support the German-American community.

We only accept written cancelations of event registrations made at least 3 business days prior to the program. To receive a refund, contact us, use the subject “Events” and add in Comments “Cancelation Event on MM/DD/YY”. Cancelation is effective as of the date the email was received. For more detail, please refer to GABA’s Registration and Refund Policy.

In most cases, you will find the login information in your registration confirmation email towards the bottom. We will usually also send you a reminder with your login information on the day before or the day of the event. If you have several email addresses, please also check the inboxes of your other emails. If you still cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact us at [email protected]

GABA records many virtual and some in-person events. You can find short summary clips of our events in the News section. You can find older recordings on our GABA-TV channel on YouTube. If you signed up for an event that was recorded, you can request access to the recording – please contact us.

Event Sponsorship

Events at GABA, virtual or in-person, bring together a large group of professionals who are interested in the topic of the event. We can work with you so that the topic and the format works well for the target group you aim to reach – as long as it is relevant for the German American business community. Please contact us! We have all kinds of events to suit your needs: smaller, “Ask the Expert” events, panel discussion, event series or even conferences.

No, anyone can sponsor our events. If you are a company member of a higher level, however, you will receive discounts for your sponsorships. Please contact us to find out more.

Membership (General Questions)

You can always participate in our events and take advantage of the built-in networking opportunities (which we also offer in most online events). If you are a member, all GABA NorCal events are free or discounted. Depending on your membership or sponsorship level, you have additional options through promoting your thought leadership, products, or services, and get additional access to exclusive groups or via a personal relationship to a board member.

There are several possibilities:  your membership may have expired, you are a member of another GABA chapter, you are registered for the membership under a different email, or as a company member, your name is not entered in our database. Please click here and try to narrow down or resolve the problem. If you cannot solve the issue yourself, please contact us.

You can upgrade your membership even if you have time left on your existing membership. In most cases, we will be able to deduct the pro-rated remainder of your existing membership contribution from the new fee. Please send us a note.

Your GABA membership is an annual Membership where the fees will be collected once a year at the time of your enrollment/renewal.

Please login to your profile and and check your settings. If you want to cancel your auto-renewal, please contact us.

Company Membership

Yes, our Premium Corporate membership, as well as the Patron and Benefactor memberships, are open to everyone.

You always qualify for the Premium Corporate membership and above. If you feel neither of these is the right level for you, let’s discuss. Please contact us.

Volunteering

No, German is not required. In fact, for some positions we like you to be a native English speaker. Please connect with us.

We are always interested in smart and energetic volunteers who identify with our mission to strengthen transatlantic business. We usually list our openings on our Job page, but we are open to suggestions and good candidates at any time. Please contact us.
