This year's GABA Gala attracted over 200 guests and once again offered a unique platform for the GABA community to interact with high-profile executives as well as renowed German personalities of Silicon Valley, such as this year's award winner Sebastian Thrun and last year's honoree Andy von Bechtholsheim.
Following the aspiring spirit of the gala we have lined up some great events for February. Our annual Cyber Security event will be held on Feb. 24th in Mountain View and it will focus on the hot topic Surveillance, Cyber Crime & Cyber Espionage. If you live in Orange County, please join the GABA SoCal chapter on Feb. 26 in Costa Mesa for the SoCal event - Orange County wants YOU! and learn more about GABA's plans in OC.

Goethe-Institut San Francisco: Still / Life - Photo Exhibition by Thomas Heinser

Opening reception: Thursday, Feb 20, 2014, 06:30 PM
Goethe-Institut San Francisco, ART-Lounge, 530 Bush Street, San Francisco

Photographer Thomas Heinser has pursued a study of face and form for more than a decade. Designing intersections between profile and space, and torso as figure-ground, Heinser arranges compositions in human sculpture that are more akin to abstract painting than formal portraiture, each an expression of intimacy and quiet repose.
