Angela Merkel's Speech at Stanford Available From GABA TV
On April 15, 2010 German Chancellor Angela Merkel gave a speech at Stanford University. She stressed international cooperation and praised technological research. This speech is the only one she delivered during her four-day trip to the United States. GABA TV presents recordings in English and German.
Southern California Chapter Announces Leadership Change
The GABA Southern California Chapter Board of Directors this week elected former Vice Chairman Bernd Steinebrunner to succeed Boris von Bormann as Chairman of the chapter's board. Michael Metzger was elected Vice Chairman. Treasurer Wolfram Doelker and Secretary Torsten Thomas continue in their current positions. Directors Dan Hoover, Anita Katzenbach and Robert Wittenburg also continue to serve on the board. "The board of directors is deeply indebted to Boris von Bormann, a co-founder of GABA Southern California, for his six years of commitment and dedicated service to the organization," Steinebrunner said.
