TV Oktoberfest Featured Traditional Bavarian Dances

Schuhplattler and Waltz
were just two of
the many dances performed by the Golden Gate Bavarian Club during our
Oktoberfest at Gordon Biersch in Palo Alto on October 18th. The
audience joined in the dancing, Bierstein Holding
and Yodeling contests. The income from this fundraiser will help
launch GABA TV, a weekly
program to air on KMTP, Channel 32, starting November 14th. Click here for

A happy crowd of over
250 people gathered
on October 7th at the Standard Hotel on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood for an
Oktoberfest celebration with an Australian twist. The guests enjoyed
rocky songs by British/Australian artist Steve Cooke as well as German
Bratwurst and Australian Pavalova desert.
Long time GABA supporter Steve
Cooke has received a nomination for his song "Working for the USA" for the Hollywood Music in the Media Awards (HMMA). The Wende Museum stops traffic on one of
the most frequented thoroughfares with a stylized wall across Wilshire
Boulevard starting at 2:00 pm to commemorate and reflect history. At
3:45 pm, dignitaries destroy a segment in an re-enactment of the fall
of the Berlin Wall followed by life music.
