Katharina is a Ph.D. Candidate at Stanford’s School of Engineering in the department of Management Science & Engineering. She specializes in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning for optimizing the composition of work teams and the design of innovative organizational structures. Katharina is passionate about the opportunities and challenges emerging digital technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, pose for business, government, and the transatlantic partnership. She is the co-chair of Transatlantic Sync, the first German-American conference on the societal impact of AI in Silicon Valley (Oct 27-29, 2019, www.transatlantic-sync.com
). Hailing from Essen in North-Rhine Westphalia, she holds a BA in Psychology and Economics from Harvard (’14) and an MSc in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford (’19).
