GABA SoCal: Solar Power: The Road to Cost Competitiveness
    Tuesday, September 25th, 2007, 5:00pm - 8:00pm
Westin Long Beach, 333 East Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA
Solar markets both in Europe and the US are growing rapidly, but are still very dependent on government subsidies. In order to create a market many times the size it is today, the industry has to decrease the cost of cells, modules and installed systems. Thin-film technologies have promised a lot, but are still in the process of delivering. Traditional crystalline silicon technologies, which still represent the vast majority of the market also drive many avenues to achieve cost reduction. The call is out for which one will be most successful.
