Key-Account-Manager (footwear & apparel) – Portland/OR or San Francisco/CA


  • The company is a well-established company with a reputation for quality.
  • It develops, manufactures and distributes innovative high-tech components to the shoe and apparel industry.



  • Manage key client relationships in the US West Region
  • Lead the consultative and strategic sales with existing footwear brands, manufacturers, branded consumer goods companies and distributors.
  • Expand existing client relationships – especially for new product development
  • Acquire new clients & business development in new regions (e.g. Latin America)
  • Explore and develop new client segments outside of the footwear sector
  • Close cooperation with various contacts and company functions
  • reporting directly to the CEO



  • Experience in a Senior Sales or Business Development function (Experience in the shoe-industry not required but would be a plus)
  • Capable of developing existing and winning new clients.
  • Proactive and structured approach to pursuing business opportunities
  • Confident self-starter with entrepreneurial mind-set and strong consultative and solution orientation
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, thermoplastics, polymers and chemicals helpful
  • Experience in working in an international environment and ability to travel across mainly the USA and occasionally to Latin-America (Spanish is not required)
  • Any additional European or Asian language skills a plus
  • University or equivalent degree in e.g. Business Administration and/or Economics, applied sciences



  • US West-Coast (Portland, OR or San Francisco, CA preferred)
